Description of Services: Provides assessment and treatment of acute hand, wrist, elbow and shoulder injuries using a team approach to rehabilitation * staff consist of one certified hand therapist (CHT), occupational therapists (OT) , physiotherapist (PT) and occupational therapy assistant * services include but not limited to:
  • fractures
  • tendon and nerve lacerations
  • dislocations
  • burns
  • grafts
  • replants
  • implants
  • amputations
  • repetitive strain injuries

    Treatments include:
  • range of motion exercise
  • static, dynamic, progressive splinting
  • sensory evaluation; desensitization and re-education
  • pain management
  • functional strengthening programs
  • home exercise programs
  • edema management
  • burn and scar management
  • education
  • manual therapy
